The policies made by the United States indirectly affect the policies and movements of other countries around the world, after 9/11 the United States issued a statement that terrorism is not only a threat to his country but also the international world. The country of Yemen, which has a background of turbulent authoritarian regimes after being dragged by the waves of the Arab Spring and the disappointment of the Yemeni people towards President Ali Abdullah Saleh, because his policies are considered unable to change the social, political, or economic conditions utilized by the Al-Houthi rebel group supported by the Iranian state to stage a coup. 25 March 2015 The United States and Saudi Arabia successfully launched an attack on the headquarters / core of the Al-Houthi group and succeeded in killing its leader and stemming its influence. Theories used are Democratization, National Interest, Intervention, Foreign Policy, Behavorialism. This study uses a qualitative research method used to explain how the US policy towards the Middle East region after the Arab Spring. As well as historical research methods used to look for facts of US involvement directly / indirectly in the Yemen conflict. The results of this study explain that the interests of the United States in democratization in Yemen are to build military bases that are used to secure oil mining areas, secure areas that are focused on its foreign policy, suppress radicalism in the name of Islam, and cooperate with conflicting countries aimed at to democratize authoritarian regimes.
