Abstract

Semiotics is a science or method for studying signs. Advertisements contain signs that appear and produce the meaning of the message in the advertisement. The purpose of this study was to determine the markers and markers in the step version of A Mild cigarette advertisements. The method used in this research is to use a method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this research use documentation and literature studies, as well as references related to research. The results of the research on the meaning of the a mild version of the cigarette advertisement message were examined based on several scanned images in the advertisement describing the message for consumers. The meaning of the message from A Mild's advertisement is to create a recognizable product with the intention of attracting consumers' interest in the form of name, packaging, logo, price and the power of image visualization.
