Articles are closely linked to political communication, social movements, public opinion, political image, interest groups, effects of political communication, political advertising, lobbying, politics and media systems, politics and media practice.</p> <p>All manuscripts submitted for publication to the <strong><em>JPCM</em> </strong>are initially reviewed by the Editor for appropriate content and style. If approved by the Editor, manuscripts are then reviewed by two anonymous reviewers in a double-blind review process. This public issue is getting heated because the comments from political elites and public officials when responding to the scarcity of migraines are perceived by netizens as insensitive, unsympathetic, non-empathetic, illogical, blunders, and inconsistent. The responses of netizens and community leaders to the statements of the political elite and public officials also varied, ranging from critical, sarcastic, humorous comments to swearing comments. This qualitative study attempts to analyze the issue of cooking oil scarcity referring to cognitive dissonance theory, interpretive analysis method, with media texts as the main data. This study uses qualitative methods that are qualitative in nature. descriptive analysis using the Robert n Entman model framing analysis tool where the Entman analysis tool has four elements of analysis, namely define problem, diagnose causus, make moral judgment, treatman recommendation. The results of this study show that detik.com and kompas.com are both pro with the policy taken by the Indonesian government not to lock down, it can be seen from the many sources from the government who always quote President Jokowidodo's words not to lock down. The reasons why there was no lockdown were also explained by the two media for the same reason, namely the economic sector so that the government preferred physical distancing policies. The method used in this research is qualitative. The data in the study were collected through observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate that political communication of the PDI-P was carried out in various channels, namely group, organizational, mass and social media communication channels. The communication messages conveyed were in the form of community programs based on directions from the central party management and in the form of an explanation that the PDI-P was not anti-Islam and the PKI. Target segmentation is carried out by the PDI-P to facilitate the implementation of the campaign strategy. The targets of PDI Perjuangan's political communications were divided based on age, religion and base area. Based on age, PDI-P uses a different approach to young and old voters. Communication behavior that occurs because of the actions or activities of a person or group involved in the communication process, in this case communication behavior has two forms of communication behavior, namely, open communication behavior and closed communication behavior. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with interview data, observation and documentation. KPU set Syamsuar-Edy, the pair number 1, as the winner. During the campaign period every candidate's activity became important to be published. One of the print mass media that gave its special attention to the election in Riau was the Riau Pos Daily Newspaper (SKH) which issued a special rubric "Towards Riau 1". This rubric was indicated that the Riau Pos siding with the Syamsuar-Edy pair. This study used a qualitative method by presenting a descriptive analysis. The data analysis technique used is the discourse analysis by Teun Van Djik. Data collection is done by documentation technique. The unit of data analysis is the news about Syamsuar-Edy who was the winner in the elections. Overall, the results of this study indicate that the text structure in the rubric shows that Riau Pos siding with the Syamsuar-Edy pair.
